Carriers will pay and be responsible for any fuel, lumpers, breakdowns, etc. Make sure you are in communication with the driver you are working with if any of these come up during a run.

Are the Drivers 1099 or W2?
You as the carrier determine the worker classification as the driver is hired by you and not Relay. You can opt to hire 1099 or W2 drivers on the Relay network based on your needs and work as you see fit.
Will I have 24/7 support once I join the network?

Can I use Relay for dump truck, Car Hauling, or Movers?
Relay is currently not optimized for these types of runs. The carriers that find the most success on the Network typically work with dry vans, reefers, and box trucks.
Are the drivers insured by Relay, or do I need to add them to my insurance?
You will need to add them to your own insurance. You can easily do this by downloading their Driver Qualification File (front & back of license, driving record, work history, medica certificate, etc.) and sending that PDF directly to your insurance.
Are there HAZMAT drivers available?
Yes, there are drivers you can hire with Hazmat endorsements.

You can begin placing orders as soon as your membership is paid and your account is created. We typically recommend that new carriers should place their orders 48-72 hours in advance to ensure that drivers have enough time to view and accept the run.

Yes, you can use Relay to get drivers for your box truck and straight truck.
How many drivers are on the Relay Network?
There are currently hundreds of drivers active on the Relay Network. After placing an order, you will be able to see how many drivers are located in the nearby area at that time.
How much is the membership?

Can I get a temporary driver?
Yes! You can use Relay to get a temporary driver for your truck. As soon as your membership is paid for and your account is created, you can begin hiring creating dispatch orders from your computer or your phone.

Yes. On your Relay web portal you'll be able to see which drivers want to work with you permanently.
Does Relay provide Worker’s Compensation or Occupational Accident Insurance for the drivers?
No. Relay does not currently provide options for Worker's Compensation and/or Occupational Accident Insurance for the drivers you hire.
